The Amarok team is proud to announce Amarok 2.3.0. This version contains many improvements and bug Amarok 2.2.2, and many new features. Areas such as support for podcasts and playlists stored have been a great improvement. The same has happened with support for mass storage devices via USB (including generic MP3 players). Having matured
many components Amarok 2, it was time to start moving again. Therefore, this version also has new features a little more experimental nature. These include a new main bar and a rewritten and simplified file browser. These developments are based on user feedback and change and improve in subsequent versions. The thin toolbar is still available if they prefer, but we encourage you to try the new toolbar and tell us what you think. The appearance of the file browser now fits better with the rest of Amarok with improvements such as browsing through Ariadne's thread, and is focused on being a system to find and play music instead of being a multi-file browser.
contextual menu of songs from the playlist offers the option "Show on media sources, facilitating the search for the same song in the library manager to edit, move or delete it.
Podcasts now have a configuration dialog that lets you change the refresh interval and the location to save the new episodes downloaded. Podcasts and saved playlists are grouped by source, and is also available as a merged view in the local library - perfect for those who do not care where it comes from his music and just want to listen. Now, when a new source of playlists or podcast is available, Amarok off the light bulb and a list of new sources.
